A study by PokerTube has named New York City as the most sinful city in the US, ranking it as the country's "sin capital" of 2026. The study compared more than 200 US cities using a comprehensive index based on geospatial, demographic and public health data. It found that New York outperformed Las Vegas in terms of nightlife venues and STI cases. The report also found that the city has the highest nightlife concentration across all cities, with over 1,400 bars, 109 nightclubs, 375 pubs, and a population of over 7 million, in which nearly half are officially single. Despite Las Vegas ranking as the "most sinful" city, second-place honors went to Baltimore, Maryland. Chicago, Illinois came in third place with one of the "strongest nightlife scenes in the country".
