I’ve Been Waiting For An Update On The Rookie’s Latest Spinoff, And Someone Finally Asked The EP

The Rookie has been renewed for Season 9 and a spinoff of the show, The Rookie: North, has been ordered by ABC. If successful, this will be the second spinoff in The Rookie Universe, following the short-lived Niecy Nash-led series The Rookie.: Feds. The new series, starring Jay Ellis, has already shot its pilot and has been delivered to ABC. Despite this, creator Alexi Hawley remains optimistic about the show's future. The wait will be long as ABC continues making decisions on several shows on its current lineup.
