Google is reportedly in talks with China's Envicool, others to buy data centre cooling systems. The discussions suggest tight supply of parts for these systems, which are critical in AI data centers due to high-density computing generating more heat than a traditional air cooling system can handle. Envivool, founded in 2005, saw revenue surge 40% during the first nine months of the year. The company plans to expand capacity at a new factory in Guangdong province and establish facilities in Thailand and the United States.
