A bright red, swing-filled installation at Lincoln Center, designed by Mexico-based studio Esrawe + Cadena, has been open to the public as part of the Big Umbrella Festival, which runs until April 26. The installation features eight mini houses, each roughly 8 feet wide and nearly 10 feet tall, arranged to create a kind of open-air neighborhood. Visitors are encouraged to wander around the frames, which when an empty structure is empty, it glows with light. The exhibition is free and designed for all ages.
