GSP troopers fired after alleged scheme to profit off police chases

Three Georgia State Patrol troopers and their supervisor have been fired after an internal investigation revealed a scheme where they allegedly used insurance claims to profit off vehicle chases. The investigation found that after ending vehicle pursuits with stop techniques, the troopers filed personal injury claims against the fleeing drivers' insurance companies and received settlement money despite no physical injuries reported. The officers were also found guilty of using these claims.
