'I overcame anxiety to open my own driving school'

Avryl Harvey, a 37-year-old driving instructor, overcame her anxiety attacks to become a driving instructor and open her own driving school in Crewe. Harvey, who was told she would never amount to anything, viewed everything she did as negative or incorrect, during the approved driving instructor (ADI) part three test, where an examiner observes the instructor teaching a student, causing her to believe in herself. A year's worth of therapy with driving anxiety specialists helped change her mindset and she fully qualified on her fifth attempt. Harvey now runs the driving school and aims to inspire others with similar experiences.
