Channel 4 is set to host a new reality TV series, Handcuffed: The Last Pair Standing, featuring nine pairs of strangers who will be physically cuffed to each other 24/7. The series, which is being hailed as a rival to The Traitors and hosted by Jonathan Ross, involves contestants matched with someone whose views clash with their own. The last team standing will win a £100,000 jackpot. The concept is inspired by the 80s action-comedy Midnight Run, where Robert De Niro plays a bounty hunter chained to a mob-targeted accountant played by Charles Grodin. The cast includes 39-year-old Jo from a plus-size fashion entrepreneur and outspoken feminist, and 29-year old property developer Reuben from a self-confessed gym-loving "alpha male".
