Scottie Scheffler surges in Round 3 of Players, feeling good about driver

Scottie Scheffler, ranked No. 1 in the world, surged to a bogey-free 5-under 67 in the third round of The Players after narrowly avoiding the cut. Despite recent struggles, Schefflers seems to have emerged from a temporary rut. He has been dominant in the past two years, winning 16 tournaments globally since 2024. His most recent outing was a T-24 finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Despite these struggles, he insists his expectations are based on mental performance, rather than week-by-week expectations. Despite this, he remains hopeful of keeping his top 25 streak alive.
