Spring break donor shortage prompts Hoxworth to urge diabetics to recheck eligibility

Hoxworth Blood Centers in Cincinnati is urging new and returning donors to donate to help meet daily demand of 400 donors per day. Currently, current inventory is stable, but upcoming donation appointments are lagging. Hoxworth is also urging diabetics previously told they could not donate to check their eligibility, particularly if their guidance was given long ago. The charity is offering a limited-edition Reds windbreaker to donors while supplies last, and is encouraging people with diabetes or blood sugar levels to donate, as long as well as well-controlled numbers.
