An American-operated Patriot air defense battery likely fired the interceptor missile involved in a pre-dawn explosion in Bahrain, injuring dozens of civilians and destroying homes. The incident occurred 10 days into the war on Iran and has been blamed on an Iranian drone attack. Both Bahrain and Washington have blamed an Iranian attack on the incident.
