New safety measures coming to Shockoe Bottom after mass shooting

New safety measures are being implemented in Richmond's Shockoe Bottom following a mass shooting in February that left two people dead. The Richmond Police Department has been meeting with business owners to discuss ways to make the community safer. New measures include the installation of six new security cameras throughout the area and a mini-substation near Main Street Station where police officers will be stationed on weekends. Additionally, a Safety Ambassador Program is in place.
