The United States and Iran agreed to a temporary ceasefire on Tuesday evening, before President Trump's deadline expired. President Trump celebrated the ceasefire and the "complete, immediate, and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz" on Truth Social. He also outlined a plan for the coming days, which includes tariffs on countries supplying Military Weapons to Iran and on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50% effective immediately. Despite this, uncertainty remains over the contents of the peace proposal.
