Simon Helberg, known for his roles in "The Big Bang Theory" and "Derek Waters and Bob Waters," has spoken about his experiences at French festival Series Mania to promote his new book "The Audacity". Helberg almost missed out on a pilot role due to his previous role in "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip". He credits his mentor, Aaron Sorkin, for allowing him to work on the show. Helberg recalls shooting the pilot, which felt different from anything else he had done before and became a fan favorite due to its distinctive portrayal of Howard Wolowitz. Despite a record 12 seasons, Helberg feels nostalgic for the show's transition from sleazebag to caring father.
