Kenneth Walker to Chiefs: Sportsbooks unimpressed, but proven model improves Kansas City's Super Bowl odds

Former Seattle running back Kenneth Walker III has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, earning him $28.7 million in total. Despite this, the SportsLine Projection Model has improved the team's Super Bowl odds by 25.0%. The Chiefs' leading rusher last season was 30-year-old Kareem Hunt, and he is currently a free agent. The model also increased the Chiefs' season win total from 9.9 to 10.1 with Walker, and their playoff chances rose from 65.4% to 69.8%. However, this signing did not move any of Kansas City's futures at BetMGM, as it remains +1500 to win Super Bowl 61. The team will now consider defensive help at No 9 in the upcoming draft.
