The upcoming VR gaming experience, Project Hail Mary: Journey Among The Stars, is set to be developed by Maze Theory, a studio that has previously developed licensed games for virtual reality, including Peaky Blinders: The Kings Ransom, Thief VR, and Doctor Who: The Edge of Time. The game will replicate the interior of the Hail Mary ship, where players will take control of Ryland Grace, the science teacher and molecular biologist played by Ryan Gosling, and will allow them to explore the journey of the ship, which is set during the events of the movie. The narrative of the game is written by Andy Weir and will align with the film's canon, which has already grossed $430 million and been hailed as one of the year's highest grossing films in total.
