A bald eagle that was rescued from the Hudson River in February has died. The bird was transported to the Raptor Trust, a nonprofit rehab facility for birds of prey in Millington, New Jersey, after being found with dangerously high levels of copper in its system. Despite initial signs of improvement, the eagle's condition deteriorated in the following weeks. The remains of the eagle will be examined by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
