The 1995-96 NBA season was a defining year for NBC, with legendary sports broadcasters Bob Costas, Doug Collins, Mike Fratello, Jim Gray, Hannah Storm, Isiah Thomas and P.J. Carlesimo returning for a special edition Coast 2 Coast Tuesday broadcast. The team featured MVP Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Tony Kukoc, and Shawn Kemp. This was the peak of the NBA era, with the Bulls winning 72-10 and ending with a 3-1 Finals lead to LeBron James' Cavaliers. The broadcast will also feature an NBA Showtime that precedes the game featuring Storm as studio host and Thomas as analysts.
