Prime Minister Mark Carney has appointed Canada's Fentanyl Czar, Kevin Brosseau, to two additional roles in the senior ranks of the public service. The move is part of a broader effort to address the issue of drug addiction and prevent it from occurring in the future. The Prime Minister's Office announced that Mr. Bas Basel will also become senior associate deputy minister of National Defence and commissioner of the Canadian Coast Guard.
