Corning and Nvidia strike a deal to expand fiber optic production in the U.S. for the AI boom

The two companies have announced a multi-year deal to expand U.S. manufacturing of the optical connectivity solutions essential to powering Nvidia's next-generation AI infrastructure. The deal involves building three new factories in North Carolina and Texas dedicated to the products of the company. The move could lead to the replacement of 5,000 copper cables in some of the 5.000 used by the company's rack-scale systems.
