New Zealand's Fonterra (FCG.NZ) has settled a lawsuit filed by environmental group Greenpeace by admitting that the label on its Anchor butter product may mislead some shoppers about what its cows were actually fed. Greenpeace had accused Fonteringa of misleading customers by claiming that the product was 100% New Zealand grass-fed. The company had removed the label from its packaging and stated that the use of the label was likely to mislead some consumers, particularly those unaware of the nature of the feeds provided to dairycows.
