The incident occurred during a testimony given to California lawmakers. The nonprofit markets itself as the "leading crisis intervention" nonprofit with a 24/7 suicide hotline for youth in need. This comes as California lawmakers aim to direct more LGBTQ children in crisis towards the Trevor Project.
