Tupac Shakur's family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Duane "Keffe D" Davis, who will stand trial in August over Tupac's 1996 murder, and an unspecified number of "John Doe" defendants. The lawsuit alleges that Netflix's Sean "Diddy" Combs documentary supports theories that Diddy was involved in the murder of Tupac. While not directly accusing Diddy of wrongdoing, the lawsuit focuses on Combs, who has for decades denied any involvement in the death. It also alleges that new details about the killing were revealed in the Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning. Diddy has called the documentary a "shameful hit piece" and threatened to sue Netflix to block its release. The September 1996 drive-by shooting that killed Tupac was one of music's greatest unsolved mysteries.
