Seattle startup Certiv launches with $4.2M to build endpoint security layer for AI agents

Seattle startup Certiv has received $4.2 million in funding to develop a security software that monitors and controls AI agents on employee computers. The company's CEO, Jason Needham, is led by CTO Paul Allen, CTO Daniel Morris, and COO Paul Allen. The funding will support engineering growth and early enterprise deployments. Certiv's technology addresses the security risks created by AI agents that can now autonomously write code, read files, and access sensitive systems using employee credentials. It already has pilot deployments with enterprise customers.
