Cat Rescued From Active LIRR Tracks In Lindenhurst After Power Shutoff: MTA Police

A cat was rescued from active Long Island Rail Road tracks in Lindenhurst, New York, after a train engineer spotted it on the tracks. The MTA temporarily shut down power to allow officers to reach the animal. The cat was removed and transported to South Shore Feral Care in West Babylon. There were no reported service disruptions due to the rescue.
