Eric Trump-Backed Startup Lands $24 Million Contract from His Father's Administration

The Pentagon has awarded a $24 million contract to Foundation Future Industries, a robotics startup affiliated with Eric Trump, one of President Donald Trump's sons. The move has been criticized by some Democrats as "corruption in plain sight" and reflects the growing acceptance of android technology beyond battlefield use. The Defense Department's fiscal 2027 budget request includes a $55 billion request for the Defense Autonomous Warfare Group. Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren questioned whether the Pentagon was just a cash machine for Eric's children. The contract comes less than a month after an executive at Powerus, a Florida drone maker backed by Eric and Donald Trump Jr.
