DOJ expands antitrust probe to include MLB

The Department of Justice is expanding its investigation into the NFL into other sports leagues, including Major League Baseball. The federal government may have exceeded its antitrust exemption when leagues sell broadcast rights to cable, satellite, or streaming networks. The investigation focuses on the NFL's attempt to increase revenue through existing deals.
