The Timberwolves lost 116-105 to the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series. Despite downplaying a knee injury, Anthony Edwards struggled throughout the game, scoring 22 points and nine rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Coach Chris Finch acknowledged that the Wolves' mistakes were attributed to key moments of the game. The Wolves' defense was criticized for lack of patience and lack of physical contact with Denver's Nikola Jokic.
