Charlene Fudge, owner of a house cleaning business in Maidenhead, England, took her 3-year-old son, Hugo, to the doctor in January after he began experiencing swelling in his neck and breathing difficulties. The doctor initially diagnosed Hugo with tonsillitis, but Charlene found something unusual and continued taking him to the hospital. Blood tests revealed that Hugo had leukemia, a form of blood cancer, and was immediately placed on a treatment plan that involved weekly chemotherapy. Charlene has had to stop working to care for Hugo, who requires intensive care during his treatment. A GoFundMe page has been established to cover the family's basic expenses while Hugo undergoes treatment.
