State Police Sgt. Scott Quigley had his license suspended prior to his indictment on a motor vehicle homicide charge related to a fatal cruiser crash in 2023. The state Registry of Motor Vehicles immediately suspends the preliminary suspension when notified of fatal crashes. If convicted, his license could be suspended for 15 years. The Department of Transportation could not confirm Quegley's license status due to a 2023 state law. The accusations of Quigly being intoxicated at the time of the crash only became public after a wrongful death suit was filed by the victim's mother.
