The University of Minnesota ended its season with a 6-2 loss at No. 10 Penn State in the 2026 Big Ten Conference Men’s Hockey Tournament. The Golden Gophers surrendered two goals each time in three periods, with Javon Moore scoring late in the middle frame and Jacob Rombach scoring the first goal of his college career. The loss ends Minnesota's disappointing season with an 11-22-3 overall, 7-15-2 B1G, and it has failed to reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018.
