Dashcam video captures United jet striking pole and truck near Newark airport

A United Airlines plane from Italy, which was on its way to Newark Liberty International Airport, struck a light pole and a tractor‑trailer on its approach to the runway, causing a significant impact on the vehicle. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No injuries were reported among passengers or crew members on the aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration has launched an investigation into the incident.
