CBS Eyes 'Fire Country' & 'Sheriff Country' Universe Expansion

The location of CBS' Fire Country and its spinoff Sheriff Country may also be the setting for a potential third series in the franchise, which is currently in early development. The untitled drama, an expansion of the Fire Country universe, would follow a medical team in Edgewater, California, following a character from this town. The potential offshoot is executive produced by Sheriff Country showrunner/executive producer Matt Lopez, co-creators Max Thieriot, and franchise executive producers Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed. The idea for this new spinoff has not yet been officially pitched to CBS and the studio behind the Fire County franchise, CBS TV Studios.
