The protests at the Kennedy Center have intensified since President Trump took over, with recent layoffs and several lawsuits pending to prevent the closure and remove President Trump’s name from the building. The weekly protest, held every Friday, aims to save jobs and save the Kennedy Centre. The DC Activist Street Band and Hands Off the Arts have joined the protest. Mallory Miller, who worked at The Kennedy Center for two years, was among the employees who started organizing a union and believes the arts are at risk.
