A winery co-owned by Tim Mynett, the husband of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), has shut down following a Congressional probe into Omar's finances. The move comes after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) sent a letter to Omar asking for clarification regarding his financial disclosures. Comer expressed concerns that unknown individuals may be investing to gain influence with Omar's wife. Omar recently claimed she is not as rich as her previous financial disclosures and blamed an accounting error for her wealth. The winery shut its doors earlier this month after Comer's letter stated that eStCru LLC and Rose Lake Capital LLC, which Mynetet holds ownership stakes in, went from being worth $51,000 in 2023 to $30 million in 2024.
