1 critical after suffering severe burns in Miami apartment fire

One person is in critical condition after suffering severe burns during an apartment fire in Miami, according to Miami Fire Rescue. The fire was caused by a structure fire at 1377 NW 40th Street and was extinguished within 20 minutes. The first-floor residents of the complex have been displaced and the dog rescued from the flames. The victim, a 31-year-old male male male, was rushed to the hospital with severe third-degree burns to almost 90% of his body. The cause of the fire is under investigation. All other occupants were evacuated and the fire was brought under control within 20 mins. The American Red Cross has been notified to assist the impacted families.
