Dave Mason, co-founder of the psychedelic British band Traffic, has died at 79 at his home in Gardnerville, Nevada. Mason was known for his contributions to classic rock hits "Feelin’ Alright" and "Hole in My Shoe," and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 for his work with Traffic. His death was confirmed by Mason's publicist Melissa Dragich. Despite cancelling his remaining tour dates last summer and announcing his retirement months later, Mason remained committed to his legacy.
