Air New Zealand Suspends Earnings Guidance, Raises Fares in Response to Soaring Fuel Prices

Air New Zealand has suspended its earnings guidance due to rising global jet fuel prices. The airline warned that it could not be certain about future profits due to the uncertainty of future earnings. The company lost NZ$59 million in the first half of the 2025-26 financial year and had previously forecasted second-half earnings based on the assumption that jet fuel would remain at around US$85 a barrel.
