Long Beach, California, is hosting its first Fixit Clinic of 2026 on April 25 at the Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library. The event encourages residents to repair and reuse household items rather than disposing them. Volunteers are provided with assistance to assess, troubleshoot and repair these items. The clinic is open to all ages and is not a drop-off repair service. To date, the clinics have kept 3,170 pounds of household items out of local landfills.
