The reissued edition of Miles: The Autobiography, one of the greatest music memoirs of all time, by Miles Davis and Quincy Troupe, is out in stores to commemorate what would have been the trumpeter's 100th birthday. The book, originally published in 1989, includes vivid tales of sex, drugs, and jazz, including recollections of Charlie Parker, Billie Holiday, and John Coltrane. Nas, whose father, jazz cornetist Olu Dara, wrote that the shared DNA between jazz and rap music is a primary interest in the book. He also reflects on Davis' struggle against racism and his handling of the music business within the music industry. The new foreword from Nas is available to purchase now.
