The song's vocalist, Lebo M, claims that Jonasi intentionally mistranslated the lyrics and mocks their cultural significance. The lawsuit argues that Jonas' translation of these words is used as a "royal metaphor" to invoke kingship. The complaint also asserts that since Jonas presented his translation as an authoritative fact, it shouldn't be protected by the First Amendment.
