US attacks do not augur well for World Cup, says Iran soccer chief

Iran's soccer chief, Mehdi Taj, has warned that the recent U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran do not augur well for the upcoming World Cup in North America. The attacks, which killed the Islamic Republic's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, were expected to impact the World Cup being hosted by the U., Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. There is no suggestion that Iran might boycott the finals.
