Layoffs hit Boulder City Hospital with change in provider type

Boulder City Hospital, located southeast of Las Vegas, is transitioning to a new provider type and has experienced multiple layoffs. The move comes with financial incentives, including a 5% bonus for Medicare payments for outpatient services. However, the hospital will no longer accept inpatient acute admissions or geriatric behavioral health admissions.
