The show was initially intended to be made on a U.S. platform but was not given the freedom he wanted. Roy also highlighted the economic impact of the creative industry in Canada, which is equivalent to aerospace industry and fisheries and automobile industry. He also mentioned that many Europeans want to collaborate with Canada, with 57 treaties of co-production, the highest number in the world. Gaëtan Bruel, CNC president, stressed the importance of staying true to the core principles and values of creativity and supporting independent producers. He suggested that the future of creation is in the hands of creative professionals who believe in storytelling.
