Brian Flores case moves forward, slowly but inevitably

The case of Brian Flores, who filed a landmark race discrimination lawsuit against the NFL and six other teams over a period of more than four years, continues to proceed. The six teams involved in the case are the Dolphins, Giants, Broncos, Texans, Cardinals, and Titans. The presiding judge has declined to stay the litigation. Currently, the Giants, Rockies, and Texans have a petition for appeal pending before the U.S. Supreme Court on the claim that their claims against them require mandatory arbitration. A ruling is expected within the next month or so. The plaintiffs argue that the case would have moved faster if they had accepted the league's arbitration procedures, which they believe is inherently rigged against them.
