Jets staying patient as free agent QB market begins to take shape

The New York Jets are reportedly monitoring the free agent quarterback market, specifically for players like Kyler Murray and Geno Smith who are being released by their teams. The Dolphins announced they would be releasing Tua Tagovailoa and subsequently agreeing to a deal with former Packers quarterback Malik Willis. The Jets are also considering backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who has played for the Jets' offensive coordinator Frank Reich before. The team did not add a wide receiver to the roster and may consider the trade market for a second receiver.
