Singer and actor Donald Glover has been cast as the voice of the character Yoshi in the animated sequel to "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" after he actively campaigned for the role through his agent. Co-star Jack Black revealed that Glover instructed his representatives to contact animation studio Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri due to his deep appreciation for the Nintendo universe. The film, set for release on Wednesday, features a cast including Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, and Brie Larson as Princess Rosalina.
