JetBlue has announced the launch of four new direct routes to Puerto Rico, connecting San Juan with Philadelphia, Richmond, Va., Norfolk, Va. and Buffalo, N.Y., with an estimated economic impact of $99.5 million for Puerto Rico. The routes will be launched from Richmond and Philadelphia, with the additional seats from Richmond contributing 25,272 additional seats and generating an estimated $17 million, while the route from Philadelphia will add 59,130 seats, generating an impact of €42.7 million. The expansion reflects a strategy by JetBlue to strengthen Puerto Rico's air access, expand its reach in key markets, and stimulate economic development opportunities.
