President Donald Trump is considering appointing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to a cabinet position, following his endorsement of Donald Trump. DeSantos was once a primary rival for the presidency and has since endorsed him. He has pushed for new congressional maps in Florida that could potentially net Republicans four more House seats in the 2026 mid-century.
