A New Jersey court has upheld the firing of a morgue worker for leaking details about the deaths of NHL's Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew, who were killed by an alleged drunk driver in 2024. Connor McGlynn, an ex-morgue assistant at the Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office, sent a photo of his private notes about the victims to his hockey teammates on the night they were killed. The photo revealed birth dates, home addresses, sensitive crash details, and the responding trooper’s cellphone number. McGlynn was originally fired in September 2024 but challenged the decision. If convicted on all counts, Sean Higgins faces up to 70 years in prison.
