Election 2026: Begich takes the lead in campaign earnings with independent challenger Hill in second

Alaska's freshman congressman, Nick Begich, has topped the fundraising charts for the race for the state's congressional seat, raising over $1 million in the first quarter. Independent political newcomer Bill Hill came in second with about $780,000 raised. Meanwhile, Anchorage pastor Matt Schultz raised $580,000, a little over half of Begich's total. In the senate race, incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan trails his opponent Mary Peltola by over four times the amount raised.
